    I will say it up front I am biased, but I think you should have a clear understanding of what this book does not do It does not tell a war story, nor outline the trials of an American hero Instead, the book places you into a very real, very personal struggle between principle and practice Yes, this story happens in Iraq, but it is not a story about Iraq It is a story about humanity, its fragility, and, one hopes, its resilience.

    I won this through a Goodreads Giveaway Brilliant author Captured my attention from the first page and never let go This book gives you a behind the scenes look at the Iraq War from the eyes of someone who witnessed it first hand It s primarily focused on the political aspects of war,so than the combat I thought it was a very interesting book.
