I enjoyed the juxtaposition of Hollywood, the Blacklist, the Red Hunting US Govt., and the Creation and Legacy of the classic movie High Noon The story is well researched, well written and fully realized No one comes off very well but each actor in this real life drama seems at least fully human, good or bad intensions, pure of heart or not, ambitious, afraid, insecure, bullying or generous.

  3. says:

I like this series a lot The books are compact, but they contain a lot of strong analysis And Phillip Drummond does an excellent job of presenting various understandings of the film commercial, genre based, star driven, auteur driven , political, feminist The production stills are also very well chosen.

  4. says:

An excellent criticism of a wonderful Western movie.
