    I think this would be a tough read for my 4th graders Would be better as a read aloud, where conversations can take place in depth Maybe a character study to go with it The long chapters and slow start would turn many independent readers away from finishing Great easy read for adults I really enjo...

    I liked hearing the individual stories of the four children and seeing how these stories weave together I have had a number of students have trouble with this book, but I enjoyed it and think that with a little background before they start reading, the students will better understand the story.
