This is a fantastic story of the German Tiger tanks in Normandy after the Allied invasion of 1944 It follows each tank The tigers were incredibly superior to any allied tanks, except the Sherman Firefly And the overwhelming advantage of Allied air and sea power were also apparent It took days, sometimes weeks for the tanks to get to Normandy traveling only during the darkest night hours and then hiding under camouflage during the days An extremely informative book.

An excellent blow by blow account of the heavy panzer battalions fight in the Normandy front of World War Two Most of the book focuses on tank battles from the German perspective, but many accounts from the Allied point of view are included There s a LOT of pictures and maps, but the quality in Kindle edition is mediocre at best Most maps are too fuzzy to read, even on an iPad The narrative, however, is excellent.
