Since I am the author of this book, I m being slightly biased however, I do believe Waiting on Forever is a wonderful love story I connected with Leah and Mattso than any of my previous characters Leah s wit cracked me up and Matt s huge heart had me sighingthan a few times I am very in love with this story and I hope you all enjoy it, too.

3.5 stars Waiting on Forever is a college romance about Leah and Matt The story is told in Leah s POV, except for the prologue and epilogue, which are told from Matt s perspective and are awesome btw This has the nerdy girl meets big man on campus kind of theme to it and I think it was executed really well in this book Matt and Leah first meet at freshman orientation before school starts They chat, but Leah is very much into academics and thinks Matt is just another meathead jock with nothi 3.5 stars Waiting on Forever is a college romance about Leah and Matt The story is told in Leah s POV, except for the prologue and epilogue, which are told from Matt s perspective and are awesome btw This has the nerdy girl meets big man on campus kind of theme to it and I think it was executed really well in this book Matt and Leah first meet at freshman orientation before school starts They chat, but Leah is very much into academics and thinks Matt is just another meathead jock with nothing to say This of course makes Matt instantly intrigued by her Even though this girl is screaming nerd, she s actually pretty cute Not to mention that I m always drawn to the girls who don t give you the time of day at first They give youof a challenge, instead of the fake airheads who will bend over for you if you just smile their way. They strike up an easy friendship, but nothing major, mostly just chatting online here and there Leah is resigned to the fact that that s the most she s ever going to have with MattThere s a reason why Matt and I have never hung out together, and that s because we come from two different sides of the social ladder Where Matt is Mr Popular football player, I m the artsy nerd who would be stared and pointed at walking into a jock house party That isn t what Matt has in mind though and soon Leah is completely confused What starts out as chatting on Facebook turns into suggestive winks, walking her to class, forehead kisses my weakness , and other cute little signs that maybe he wantsthan just friendship When Matt s best friend, Collin and his girlfriend the couple from Planning on Forever come to visit they seem to know an awful lot about Leah Soon their relationship progresses and brings about some challenges with the different social classes and other surprises Even though Leah comes off as a nerd and thinks she isn t Matt s type, she wasn t trying to change herself to fit what she thought he might want in a girl I love that she wasn t a pushover at all, she has a mouth on her and is pretty feisty She could stand up for herself against the bitchy girls without so much as batting an eyelash Her and Matt were really cute together and the texting screenshots that was unique and fun I loved Matt too He was genuine, sweet, but confident and protective of his girlYou don t have to do a damn thing, he says with sincerity in his eyes I ve been fallin since day one There were little things like the pacing toward the end with one of the twists that I think could have been executed better, but overall I enjoyed the story The epilogue completely wraps up the story and you aren t left wondering what might happen It was a nice break from the overly angsty college reads and was really cute. This is a spin off of Planning on Forever, but can be read as a stand aloneARC received in exchange for an honest reviewForreviews go to Reality Bites Let s Get Lost Check us out on Facebook too

Review Waiting on Forever by Ashley Wilcox Wait, you re part of orientation I ask the nerdy girl that has been taking picture after picture Matthew Jacobs is a jock who meets photography major Leah Bennett for the first time at college orientation He s cute and she s trying not to be interested, after all, boys like Matt go for girls who haveair than brains in their heads, not girls like Leah Except Matt sees different he sees a beautiful girl who doesn t take ish from anyone, a gir Review Waiting on Forever by Ashley Wilcox Wait, you re part of orientation I ask the nerdy girl that has been taking picture after picture Matthew Jacobs is a jock who meets photography major Leah Bennett for the first time at college orientation He s cute and she s trying not to be interested, after all, boys like Matt go for girls who haveair than brains in their heads, not girls like Leah Except Matt sees different he sees a beautiful girl who doesn t take ish from anyone, a girl who is smart and different a challenge It s been two months since Matt and I met at orientation and up until this week our relationship has been strictly online friends this is Matt we re talking about Tall, brown hair, hazel eye, muscular, hot, sexy, makes my skin tingle, heart throb, Matt Challenge accepted and conquered No matter what Leah tried to tell herself, she knew Matt was different and he wants her She never thought it was possible and now she not only has been his friend but now, gasp his girlfriend when did that happen I stand there frozen, watching him dig through his drawers and thinking about all that has changed in such a short period of time I m no longer a loner I m hopelessly in love and have gone from a total prude to a raging nympho I m loving my new life and have no plans of ever turning back To say this was just a story of young love would be wrong Yes, it s a love story, a rather awesome one, but there sThe way these two people come together is typical of college life but what brought them to that college at the same time is what makes this anything but your typical boy meets girl story I really enjoyed how Matt Leah s relationship developed I also loved how they came to be the individuals they are each with their respective pasts Yes, I cried Yes, I laughed out loud Leah is hilarious and snarky At the end I felt good and was completely satisfied That is this book, a feel good, satisfying read and I look forward tofrom Ms Wilcox.Definitely Worth 4 Swoontastic Stars

image error Is it possible for two seemingly opposites to have a relationship with each other This book took me back in time to my college years arriving na ve and innocent, learning about relationships, and experiencing a lot of first times It s especially during those years, when we can easily find ourselves labeling a person just by initial impressions However, this story makes the reader look beyond the surface to see what s beyond one s physical appearance In the prologue, readers me image error Is it possible for two seemingly opposites to have a relationship with each other This book took me back in time to my college years arriving na ve and innocent, learning about relationships, and experiencing a lot of first times It s especially during those years, when we can easily find ourselves labeling a person just by initial impressions However, this story makes the reader look beyond the surface to see what s beyond one s physical appearance In the prologue, readers meet the two central characters, both freshmen Leah Bennett, a photography major image error and Matthew Jacobs, a football scholarship recipient, majoring in physical education image error Their first meeting occurs at an orientation, where both characters assess each other based on stereotypes Their encounter is described from Matt s point of view Matt takes one look at Leah and thinks Even though this girl is screaming nerd, she s actually pretty cute However, Leah is wary of Matt, since he s a jock and, unlike other girls, isn t impressed with him When Leah discovers Matt s major, her snicker draws his attention Is there a problem with my major I ask Leah Nope, not at all, she responds, clearly lying I ve always wanted to be a gym teacher, I state defensively I m sure you have, she says with evensarcasm what s that supposed to mean All you jocks major in the same thing, she says matter of factly Leah s sassy, bold comments spark Matt s interest, and that s how their relationship begins They become friends through Facebook and French class As Leah learnsabout Matt, she questions her initial impression of him Normally I don t converse with athletes, but after getting to know him better I noticed he wasn t as arrogant and pig headed as most football players are Until the epilogue, the rest of the story is told from Leah s point of view, helping readers understand this dynamic character, who is atypical of many young adults She defines herself as a social outcast, who is unconcerned with dating or having a social life Yet, the depth of her character makes it is easy for readers to connect with Leah Although she thinks she s a nerd and figures everyone else does as well, it doesn t stop her from being herself She s confident in who she is and refuses to be intimidated by others, I may be nerdy and quiet, but I don t let stupid people walk all over me Her wit, sarcasm, and snarky thoughts make her a downright likeable character Although Leah is attracted to him, she is too is quick to make assumptions about Matt s character based on his status I can t let Matt know how he makes me feel inside Matt and I can never be a couple and our relationship can never bethan friends He s a popular jock that goes for popular girls and he is totally out of my league However, Leah finds herself doing things as an excuse just to be around Matt For example, she s willing to entertain his friends who come into town, and she goes jogging around the track just so she can see Matt practicing with his team I ve never seen the point in running and I ve always wondered how people sought enjoyment from it, but if it gets me in viewing distance of Matt for a little while then running is what I ll do image error Even if she won t admit her feelings for Matt are anythingthan friendship, her actions prove otherwise Matt s character defies being stereotyped and he proves to Leah that there is a lotto him than his looks and interest in football His honesty and integrity are to be admired Aware of Leah s cautiousness, Matt gradually reveals his romantic feelings to her, changing the way she defines herself She gains the confidence to move beyond her nerd status image error The passion and love they find in each other is new for both of them and can only be described as intense, yet tender and heart warming image error This is an even keeled romance without a lot of angst in the relationship, which I found refreshing Although the plot is at times predictable, by no means is it a boring read Conflict and drama are present as the plot unfolds, showing the reader realistic ups and downs of falling in love I found myself smiling, chuckling, and even tearing up throughout the book I m not a sappy type of person, but I sure did become one by the end of the story, rooting for that happily ever after image error I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review

This is a quick, cute, predictabe read with an HEA Quite a few squirmy, eye roll inducing parts but that s almost to be expected with this type of book The writing, for the most part is pretty good, although it does get pretty juvenile at times..and then completley gross and TMI to the point of being unsexy and weird at others I did really like how the text messages between Matt Leah show up as graphics in the story I thought that was pretty cool And new.I also really liked how the story This is a quick, cute, predictabe read with an HEA Quite a few squirmy, eye roll inducing parts but that s almost to be expected with this type of book The writing, for the most part is pretty good, although it does get pretty juvenile at times..and then completley gross and TMI to the point of being unsexy and weird at others I did really like how the text messages between Matt Leah show up as graphics in the story I thought that was pretty cool And new.I also really liked how the story wraps up with double epilogues and a complete happy ending as a stand alone Pretty refreshing, with all the sequels and prequels and novellas and what not floating around, to just read a story that ends when the book does All that being said, I can t give this bookthan three stars because of my own internal rating system Although I really do appreciate being given an ARC and I do think Ashley Wilcox has the potential to write a best seller someday, I just don t think this is it For starters, this is just complete predictable fluff with no real substance Maybe that s what the author is going for here, I don t know If that s the case, she hit the nail on the head I m just saying, for me to give a book a 4 or 5 star rating, there s got to be somethingto it..maybe justfeeling There s hardly any character development here, either There are a few parts in the story that have the potential to become that sort of angsty, emotional thing that kinda makes a great book so great, but they re handled in such a fluffy and unbelievable way that any angst that does develop quickly fizzles And the story is told in a first person, present tense voice. which is extremely hard to pull off amd get right It just doesn t quite work for these types of stories, IMO Anyways, while this is by no means the worst book I ve ever read, its definitely not the greatest, either I actually did enjoy reading it cringe worthy moments and all , but its definitely not going to ever be a favorite, or a re read Like I mentioned, I do think with a littlework and imagination, Ashley Wilcox has the potential to produce something great
