MY REVIEWS DO NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE SERIES After reading the previous book in this series, I had high hopes and no doubts that this one would be a good one, and I was NOT disappointed It was high paced, the previous characters got better than they did in the first book even though I didn t think it was possible , and the new characters that were introduced were characters I really loved In fact, 2 of them may be quickly becoming two of my favorites MY REVIEWS DO NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE SERIES After reading the previous book in this series, I had high hopes and no doubts that this one would be a good one, and I was NOT disappointed It was high paced, the previous characters got better than they did in the first book even though I didn t think it was possible , and the new characters that were introduced were characters I really loved In fact, 2 of them may be quickly becoming two of my favorites, just because of their quick wit, and the humor they bring to the table especially in the tense moments where a little humor can certainly be used This book not only kept bringing us forward in the story, but it also brought us back in time, giving us further insight into the characters we know and love It was exceptionally well done, as it didn t detract from the story of the current event they were neck deep in it added to the story, and createdof a story Without it, the current events would have been much less exciting. In this book, we get a few feelings of foreshadowing of what s to come for some of the characters, which drives you evento read the next book Yes, there s a bit of a cliffhanger, but it s not a bad one To be honest, the fact that I know there s a third book was enough of a cliffhanger for me the entire time I was reading book 2, it was creatingandof a need to read book 3 because I loved book 2 so much There s always a worry every time there s a series is it a series because the author just wants to stretch it out to createbooks, or is there truly that much story to tell I can assure you in this case there is ABSOLUTELY that much story to tell In fact, even after book 2, it still feels like the story is just beginning After frequently visiting the past in this book again, in a very well written way , many of these characters feel so much deeper, and the Diego that I loved so much I love him evenOne recommendation I do have as a reader, is that if it s been a while since you ve read book 1 it had been about a year and several other books in between for me , if like me, you don t have a fabulous memory, maybe gloss over the last or so of the previous book There s so much story to this one, that I don t think that it was possible for the authors to rehash some of the events that happened in the previous book, and at a few points when events or people were mentioned, I had a hard time remembering exactly what happened However, it wasn t so bad that I felt like I was missing anything from this story, and it wasn t so bad that I went looking for it in the previous book, and just nagged at my curiosity a bit and made me curse my aging memory This book was action, imagination, and information packed, and I didn t even for a moment have an issue following what was happening I cannot recommend this book enough, and can t wait to see what comes next

The next instalment in this darkly, enigmatic shape shifting series, this book picks up six months after Loyalties ended Everything seems rosy, with Angelina and Cole set to marry alongside Regina and Harry Events take a dramatic and sinister turn when two of the pack are kidnapped, and Diego and the team have to work out by whom and for what reason An altogether darker book that the first, Uncivil Wars both unravels the secrets of the past, and potentially blows apart the futures of all invo The next instalment in this darkly, enigmatic shape shifting series, this book picks up six months after Loyalties ended Everything seems rosy, with Angelina and Cole set to marry alongside Regina and Harry Events take a dramatic and sinister turn when two of the pack are kidnapped, and Diego and the team have to work out by whom and for what reason An altogether darker book that the first, Uncivil Wars both unravels the secrets of the past, and potentially blows apart the futures of all involved A juicy read for anyone who enjoys well plotted, character driven fantasies.Read the rest of this review and others at UndergroundBookReviews.org

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here As stated before with the first novel I received an e copy of this series in exchange for an honest review.Book one had me feeling all these emotions and I didn t think it possible that book two could come close to doing the same thing to me, no series has ever done that to me except one..well make that two now I wanted to throw my phone so many times It picks up right where it left off and my heart cannot handle the turmoil The damn baddies always seem to have the upper hand with the goo As stated before with the first novel I received an e copy of this series in exchange for an honest review.Book one had me feeling all these emotions and I didn t think it possible that book two could come close to doing the same thing to me, no series has ever done that to me except one..well make that two now I wanted to throw my phone so many times It picks up right where it left off and my heart cannot handle the turmoil The damn baddies always seem to have the upper hand with the good guys just taking hit after hit Please tell me they re bound to see some kind of silver lining.please The Pack is stronger than ever in this book and that s a good thing because their being tested like never before The stakes are higher and the consequencesdeadly. The council meeting to clear Cole and prevent him from being killed for being turned against his will was anything but smooth The politics within the paranormal community are at work and Cole is the pawn The only way to survive is to kill his maker who is currently being protected by the Senator s nephew A man willing to kidnap and hurt anyone to keep in the Senator s good graces.Despite that annoyance, Harry and Regina Cole and Angel decide to get married and sealed within the shifter community The double ceremony is beautifully written and gives you a slight reprieve from all the turmoil that has surrounded this Pack from what feels like day one.At this wedding the Pack is introduced Diego s wife who is NOT Oliva The lovely and fractured Collette Diego has kept her hidden away for her own protection for nearly a century The rape and torture she had to endure at the hands of family was unthinkable Reading it made my mind shy away from the graphic nature and recoil that such violence could be visited upon anyone EVER Collette is so gentle and has a gift that if in the wrong hands would be used to manipulate and destroythan just lives.Shortly after the ceremony Angel and Collette are kidnapped by a hyenas only to be taken by avicious off shoot of the shifter community, the Talutha Shifters who have completely given up their humanity A group who tortures and mutilates not only other shifters but humans as well Nothing is off limits to these horrible creatures They thrive on pain, even within their own packs. The kidnapping causes cracks that were already present in certain relationships to completely fracture, leaving you to wonder if these characters you ve come to love so much will be able to find their way Will they let the past consume the present or will they rise above and persevere in spite of it all It s none stop action, suspense and AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH the entire book and I can t wait to get started on book 3 I m sad it took me so long to finish book 2 and I m not making any excuses I ll just tell you that working 12 hours, packing and growing a baby takes up much of my time these days I truly loved this book and was surprised when I hit 100% on my kindle I felt a little lost and confused I m giving myself the week to process the book fully before jumping into book 3 I can only handle feeling like an emotional wreck in small doses. If you aren t reading this series I highly recommend you make it apart of your TBR list and get started sooner rather than later
