I have really been enjoying Lucy Diamond s books they are fun and breezy but deeper than the average chick lit, touching on serious issues with a deft hand However I could do without the occasional pot shot at evangelical Christians as quoted in the book There were two mentions in this book alone about how weird and preachy Christians are Does she think no Christians read her books You wouldn t get away with mocking another religion like that, as a lighthearted aside that we re all mea I have really been enjoying Lucy Diamond s books they are fun and breezy but deeper than the average chick lit, touching on serious issues with a deft hand However I could do without the occasional pot shot at evangelical Christians as quoted in the book There were two mentions in this book alone about how weird and preachy Christians are Does she think no Christians read her books You wouldn t get away with mocking another religion like that, as a lighthearted aside that we re all meant to find funny

There are a select few authors whose books I wait impatiently and eagerly to be released each year and Lucy Diamond is one of those authors I am sure most of you have a few fail safe authors who you know what ever book you pick up by them is sure to be pure escapism, well this author is well and truly on that list for me You can always tell a Lucy Diamond book from way off as she has her own signature look when it comes to her books they are always bright and cheerful and Me and Mr Jones is as There are a select few authors whose books I wait impatiently and eagerly to be released each year and Lucy Diamond is one of those authors I am sure most of you have a few fail safe authors who you know what ever book you pick up by them is sure to be pure escapism, well this author is well and truly on that list for me You can always tell a Lucy Diamond book from way off as she has her own signature look when it comes to her books they are always bright and cheerful and Me and Mr Jones is as bright as they come.Me and Mr Jones follows Emma, Alicia and Izzy all who are the love interest of the Jones brothers The story alternates between each of the women s perspectives, allowing us to really get to know each of the characters in turn as well as their partners and the dreaded mother in law Things have become to much for parents Lilian and Eddie and the time has come for them to leave the family home and bb business but they really want to keep it in the family but which one of their three sons will be ready to take charge I loved each and everyone of the characters in this book even down to Lilian who appears to be the mother in law from hell Quite often when there are a large amount of characters in a book it can often get a little confusing as to who is who but this was not the case in this book all of the characters were developed so well they were all quite clear to tell apart I loved the relationships but I did enjoy Izzy and Charlies relationship best as there wasexcitement and mystery as to will they wont they which kept me gripped. What I have always loved about Lucy Diamonds books is her writing style, she always manages to make her story lines flow so effortlessly through out the entire book that you cant help devour her books in one sitting The author has created a storyline which is believable and interesting so it held my interest from start to finish.I maybe being very hopeful here but I do feel as though there could be a possibility of a sequel to this book and I for one would be first in line to pick up my copy and re visit these characters to see how all there lives have changed. This is a delightful, warm read that centers around family and relationships making an ideal summer read with a perfect setting in the beautiful Lyme Regis

I received a copy of the book from publisher in exchange for a review. What can I say I loved this book, really I did I am on such a good roll with the books lately, it s just wonderful. This book proves that one can write a brilliant, warm, deep story without too much over exaggerated drama, unpossible situations and ber intrigue It was a wonderful, calm read, it had everything interesting plot, great characters, enough action to keep you in grip and want to turn the pages And it teache I received a copy of the book from publisher in exchange for a review. What can I say I loved this book, really I did I am on such a good roll with the books lately, it s just wonderful. This book proves that one can write a brilliant, warm, deep story without too much over exaggerated drama, unpossible situations and ber intrigue It was a wonderful, calm read, it had everything interesting plot, great characters, enough action to keep you in grip and want to turn the pages And it teaches you that you can t judge person by the first impression, doesn t it, Lilian I really didn t like Lilian at the beginning, shame to say because she was an plder person already and one should like all older people, or maybe not She was so arrogant and rude and I was sure nothing change my opinion about her but well, something did Her daughters in law in spe as well were wonderful, normal woman, working, having their own dreams and problems and being just good And being good I don t mean that they were plain characters, oh no, they were not so easy, they had their own secrets and plans as well I have really warm to Alicia, immediately, she was a real person, like every one of us, because I guess that most of us is like her she wants to do something for her, she wants a little independence but when the crunch comes she puts herself as the last important person, and I think this is what most of us always do And I don t mean here that she is a martyr or something like this, no, she is absolutely wonderful woman, honest and brave. And just let me to tell that I am keeping my fingers crossed for Emma and David. What I perhaps missed a little isabout Izzy and Gary situation, it has solved itself very fast and actually too easy, but on the other hand shall there bedrama I think I would end frustrated, banging my head on the wall So no, maybe it s better it has ended like this. The end itself is for my liking too open, it leaves a lot to imagine but maybe we get a sequel to this book Wouldn t say no to it, absolutely not Altogether, brilliant read, absolute page turner and would recommend it heartily
