YES 5 stars all the way I just love it when the second book is just as good as the first I m just so sad the trilogy is almost over I wish it would continue. This book goes intodetail than the first one The kids are exploringof their powers, and both secret society factions are trying to recruit them, especially Russ Half of the setting was in Peru, which made it a littleinteresting I just love the whole supernatural anarchist theme in general though. This time, YES 5 stars all the way I just love it when the second book is just as good as the first I m just so sad the trilogy is almost over I wish it would continue. This book goes intodetail than the first one The kids are exploringof their powers, and both secret society factions are trying to recruit them, especially Russ Half of the setting was in Peru, which made it a littleinteresting I just love the whole supernatural anarchist theme in general though. This time, the book was written from both Russ and Nadia s point of view We find out from the start that Nadia was falling in love with Russ At first, I was still conflicted and wanted Russ to be with Mallory But I was disappointed with her when she played him, then friend zoned him I mean, he is the most powerful guy out there right now How could you not be charmed by that lol Then Nadia and Russ connection deepened It wasn t long till I begun rooting for Russ and Nadia to be together I was feeling sorry for Nadia when she felt like she was being left out and thought she was the loser of the group It wasn t fair how Mallory didn t like Nadia astral projecting to her She knew she was stuck at home and didn t have friends to socialise with For her to tell Nadia the whole spirit thing was creepy, that was a little cruel Meanwhile, Russ was still crushing on Mallory I can t remember when, but it was during the trip to Peru when Russ finally noticed Nadia was the one who really wanted him They did kiss in the States before that, but it wasn t that serious yet I was so happy the chemistry was happening There were so many questions about Russ sister, Carly She knew too much and he wondered if she once had powers too Then there was the thing about whether or not she was really his sister I m glad they finally answered it at the end SPOILERS Don t read ahead unless you wish to be spoiled.I knew something was up with the teacher Something just didn t see right, even though Nadia didn t sense it straight away But she should have though So when he was blown up, he can t really be dead could he I m sure he ll make his way back into the kids lives in the final book And I was also wondering about the other teacher I forgot her name She was the one who was insisting on slowing down Nadia when she found out the teacher was trying to brainwash them with their equipment Surely she s a double agent as well Seriously what took Mallory so long She had to be revived from a life and death situation by Russ for her to finally fall in love with him I was rooting for her to be with Russ since the beginning, but she was too late And now she s all over him, which I don t like, because he belongs to Nadia now Mallory s also still alive cause of Nadia I hope Russ does the right thing and stays with Nadia, who s always been true to him all along But I m afraid there s going to be a love triangle, and drama s bound to happen Jameson will be jealous though, cause none of the girls want him, lmao Please make it Russ and Nadia till the end So Carly really is Russ sister after all, not his mother There was a point where they were questioning it, because of the whole 2nd generation thing It turns out none of his parents or sister had powers He was just exposed to the light particles TWICE Just wow I wonder if he ll start to discoverpowers later on And what s with Nadia also having multiple powers Is she like Russ too

THIS BOOK IS AWESOME I could t stop reading this book, the only reason I took a week to finish reading, is because of my work and other unavoidable chores that needed my attention and time away from the book Ok nuff.On with the review Major Spoiler Alert I m very happy the book is written from two protagonist s POV, Nadia and Russ Although, in my opinion the book sided with Nadiathis time I loved it because now we can see the story unfold from her THIS BOOK IS AWESOME I could t stop reading this book, the only reason I took a week to finish reading, is because of my work and other unavoidable chores that needed my attention and time away from the book Ok nuff.On with the review Major Spoiler Alert I m very happy the book is written from two protagonist s POV, Nadia and Russ Although, in my opinion the book sided with Nadiathis time I loved it because now we can see the story unfold from her side Of all 4 of them, Nadia is the only one who was a complete stranger at the start of the book and towards the end she became one of the crucial character, especially her relationship with Russ The book started off from where it had ended in the first book, Russ and Nadia s affection and bonding time in the early morning of a new day I m glad the author decided to start the book from that exact point but from Nadia s POV Because honestly I m very curious about her life, her thinking and how she works as a person I was convinced that Russ was in love with her in that scene In this book, we learn a lot about Nadia s life, her past and how she came about meeting her gang I was surprised we also learn quite a bit about Jameson as well Nadia s parents are horribly strict, especially her mom Something is wrong with that lady, her love is not of the norm kind and I believe even her husband is mostly powerless against her way of things I think Nadia is not the only one who was traumatized by her scarring incident, her mother seemed to have developed a iron clad blanket over Nadia that completely isolates her from normal teenage social life and schooling Her mother demands control and wants her in her sight always Ohhhhh I knew it..I just knew something was not right with Mr Spectre His behavior gave me the hibigeebies from the start I wasn t pleased that Russ and Malory was so willing to go to Peru with him and his minions LOL Although at the beginning, Jameson and Nadia wasn t so convinced of Mr Spectre s presentation Thank god, Russ had some sense to keep the medallion to himself until the end Am I the only one who thinks that Jameson have an additional powers he is not telling How did he find out about Nadia s astral projection or How he addressed Russ as Lover boy Could it be possible he could mind read or something maybe not I don t want to say this Nadia is a gentle soul and I understand her pain and disappointment but in this book, she was quite the crybaby HAHA I mean she cries for nearly everything.she also have the strongest reaction to any situation Like she could actually vomit in a dire situation But I still standby her because OMG, her astral projection powers are so awesome and she used it to the fullest Nadia also seem to be the only one who had serious doubts about Mr.Spectre after her discovery I m not going to go very detailed on each and everything, so I will just highlight the ones I found interesting I love their whole experience traveling to and around Peru But here is the thing I find a tad bit annoying, the usage of the world Third World and general Portrayal of Peru people s perception of superstition thingsThird World is a phrase frequently used to describe a developing nation The phrase emerged during the Cold War to identify countries whose views did not align with NATO and capitalism or the Soviet Union and communism The Soviet Union no longer exists, so the definition of Third World is less precise and, thus, open to interpretation Third World countries are typically poor with underdeveloped economiesI think because the initial meaning or origin of the phrase and how the author made people of Peru look like very simple minded people, made me a little uncomfortable when reading it Like OMG are you serious an airport employee working in an international immigration check point gets so superstitious over a scar on a white girl The way they behave if it is at all realistic should have sent red flags to Nadia to turn around and leave the country..you know why Because if you can t bypass a immigration agent working on an international airport who was so sure you are some kind of a angel what are your chances of going to a remote area and not being hunted and accused of being a witch, because you have a scar The author could make that folklore as a thing for Nadia and Russ, the least she could have narrow down that surprised reaction to only very old ladies and children who believes in that legend Rather than everyone other Peru people who meets Nadia along the way Oh so Carly is not Russ s mother LOL I really did think he was her son because of how David s family behaved around him at the funeral I wasn t surprised when they finally met David, because I was sure he wasn t dead like how everyone seem to think, but I was surprised how and where they met him He wasn t all that shocked to see Russ I love Nadia and Russ relationship in this book They rock and I love how Russ simple adores Nadia, how he affectionately describes her in his thoughts I liked how the story continued from than on, really again I don t want to go into details How are everyone not suspicious of Malory She was the only one among them who was brain washed and followed Spectre to the ruins Just because Russ healed her burns does not mean she recovered or forgotten Spectre s brainwashing..she was acting very weird towards the end..I wonder if it was all a plan to separate Russ and Nadia as planned by Spectre I want to read the next book soon

Wow, I am really loving this series I am so into the teens, and their powers The premise is just so original for me anyway and cool Love how this series is clean , with no profanity spewing or sexually immoral teens. This book has betrayal, plus deepening the relationship between Russ and Nadia Both of the first two books are serious page turners, and very difficult to put down I can t wait to read book 3

For the YA in us allI was so sure I had this kiddie book figured out I was wrong on every assumption that I made I highlighted some very good insights on life in general I admire the artist who chooses YA as target audience this is an audience that insists on a good, believable story I found no discrepancies in these first novel 2 books of the series
