Uprising is a fantastic follow up to Winged Possibly better than the first in the series if only because the story has gotten so muchaction packed The story absolutely consumed me I could barely stop reading to take care of basic human needs My husband got quite a few, shhh I am reading L.M Pruitt does a stunning job of making you care for the characters and yet still keeping the reader from knowing enough about them to know where they are going next There was nothing about Uprising Uprising is a fantastic follow up to Winged Possibly better than the first in the series if only because the story has gotten so muchaction packed The story absolutely consumed me I could barely stop reading to take care of basic human needs My husband got quite a few, shhh I am reading L.M Pruitt does a stunning job of making you care for the characters and yet still keeping the reader from knowing enough about them to know where they are going next There was nothing about Uprising that was predictable and it was completely addictive It was scary, suspenseful, and fun, everything a good paranormal adventure should be.So many books in this genre can be poorly written L.M Pruitt is a talented author who is only gettingincredible with each new book Her books are original and refreshing to read From the snippets she posts on her FB page, I am dying for the next book in the series Keep this amazingness coming L, BUT HURRY UP I m dying over here in anticipation

In the battle between the forces of Darkness and Light, sometimes there are shades of gray and not everything is what it appears to be Eternity can seem like , well, an eternity UPRISING continues the story of the WINGED and, while not entirely necessary, I d recommend reading that first.Fans of L.M Pruitt won t be disappointed UPRISING is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and unexpected twists and turns that s hard to put down.Who wants to go to heaven Caution Contains adult material In the battle between the forces of Darkness and Light, sometimes there are shades of gray and not everything is what it appears to be Eternity can seem like , well, an eternity UPRISING continues the story of the WINGED and, while not entirely necessary, I d recommend reading that first.Fans of L.M Pruitt won t be disappointed UPRISING is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and unexpected twists and turns that s hard to put down.Who wants to go to heaven Caution Contains adult material not suitable for younger readers

4.5 starsOnce again, author L.M Pruitt takes us into the world of angels and demons, lovers and enemies, the world of Joanne Watson.Joanne fell off the Talmadge Bridge to her death only to find that a normal boring life is not the worst thing that can happen to a person Now one of the Winged, partner to archangel Raphae,l and one of the best demon hunters around, Joanne is finding that life after death iscomplicated and dangerous than life before ever could be Sent from one job to the n 4.5 starsOnce again, author L.M Pruitt takes us into the world of angels and demons, lovers and enemies, the world of Joanne Watson.Joanne fell off the Talmadge Bridge to her death only to find that a normal boring life is not the worst thing that can happen to a person Now one of the Winged, partner to archangel Raphae,l and one of the best demon hunters around, Joanne is finding that life after death iscomplicated and dangerous than life before ever could be Sent from one job to the next with hardly a rest in between, Joanne and her team realize there is someone who doesn t want them to succeed No one, not even the archangels know who is assigning Joanne s team to the jobs they are going on, but everyone knows that they are being set up to die With a potential strike by the trainees and fellow Winged, Joanne is put into an impossible position by the brother Archangels and her relationship with Raphael suffers Joanne will be forced to make choices that make normal desirable, but Joanne is not normal, Joanne is one of the Winged. In this second book in her Winged series, Ms Pruitt gives us a darker story than the first We go from job to job with Joanne and her team, vanquishing Succubi, tracking down the cause of mysterious boils on the young of a small town, partying in New Orleans, and even leading a training exercise Some of the images we see are so vivid, and I ll admit even a little disturbing at times, that your heart races and your forget you are reading a book and feel like you have been dropped into the middle of the action We get to knowabout each of the Archangels and Joanne s team are front and center with her, fighting and defending each other time and again Joanne has come into her own her relationship with Raphael is complicated and, at times, pushed close to its limit Michael is still in the picture, aggravating and pushing her, they go toe to toe onthan one occasion, not an easy task given Michael s stature There are a number of surprises with some of the people we thought we knew from the first book, some good, some not so much Once again the mysterious Barry appears, and this time we find out just who he is, or do we One thing is for sure, you will not be able to put these characters out of your head, even if you wanted to.As I mentioned, this is a darker book than the first, there is trouble in the Archangel camp, and no one knows who they can trust Personalities change, friendships and relationships are stretched, and not all will survive Some of the scenes were gory and so vivid I wanted to turn my head away The love scenes between Joanne and Raphael are also ramped up and for those who are plain vanilla they may be a little uncomfortable Fans of Ms Pruitt, of which I am most definitely one, will know that she can and does occasionally push the envelope and she certainly does in this book There will be no spoilers from me, but trust me when I say there will be times when the reader will be holding their breath and thinking, I didn t see that one coming at all And oh, the ending, no it s not the dreaded cliff hanger, but it did leave me withquestions than answers and on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next.Ms Pruitt had me from the first sentence in the first book and in this book she took me through the wringer, leaving me completely swept away and, if not totally satisfied, most certainly pretty close Smart woman, always leave them wanting .Member of the Paranormal Romance Guild Review Team

Uprising is the second book in the Winged series, and picks up where Winged left off The newly winged Joanne has hard choices to make Does she take up with the other winged and join the cause or does she remain alongside the archangels, especially the one she is contracted to Once again, I find myself loving the characters in this series In the first book Winged, I was thoroughly fascinated with the archangels as well as the other winged In Uprising, the feeling has only grown because Pruitt Uprising is the second book in the Winged series, and picks up where Winged left off The newly winged Joanne has hard choices to make Does she take up with the other winged and join the cause or does she remain alongside the archangels, especially the one she is contracted to Once again, I find myself loving the characters in this series In the first book Winged, I was thoroughly fascinated with the archangels as well as the other winged In Uprising, the feeling has only grown because Pruitt has continued to develop them so well This time around they seemed to be a littlecomplex which made them just that muchinteresting.I really have to give praise to the storyteller for a read that is not only unique, but exciting as well I was drawn into the book immediately I am completely curious, and have been totally seduced by the archangels, and totally enad with Pruitt s take on them For some readers the author s vision of the archangels and winged may be a little controversial, but that is just one of the many things I am impressed with Uprising had a different flow than Winged Winged was a fast paced book from start to finish With Uprising, Pruitt teased the readers by building the story to an earth quaking crescendo complete with plenty of surprises.Winged is a series that is definitely on my radar now and I can t wait to see where the story goes next I have to believe that for lovers of the genre, they will find this series to be a real treat Reviewed by Teresa D for VampireRomanceBooks.com

I LOVED Winged It was such a unique book, with a different idea about angels and the afterlife Book two, Uprising, picks up right where Winged left off And it did not disappoint Based on the way things ended, I had a lot of ideas where Uprising was going to go I wasn t entirely wrong however I wasn t entirely correct either Which I like TheI read the harder I am to surprise, but this series does it.Raphael keeps pissing me off however I LOVED him so much in Winged, but in this boo I LOVED Winged It was such a unique book, with a different idea about angels and the afterlife Book two, Uprising, picks up right where Winged left off And it did not disappoint Based on the way things ended, I had a lot of ideas where Uprising was going to go I wasn t entirely wrong however I wasn t entirely correct either Which I like TheI read the harder I am to surprise, but this series does it.Raphael keeps pissing me off however I LOVED him so much in Winged, but in this book he continually needs to either grow a pair or suck it up He is such a smart guy but when it comes to Jo and his relationship he is such an idiot I want to kick him in his teeth from almost the beginning of this book. However I love Jo No I don t agree with every choice she makes, but I can still love her as a person She is stumbling through this life with little to no knowledge of what she is supposed to be doing What side she should be on And when shit starts to hit the fan, she doesn t know who to trust I was right there with her, and had no clue who she should rely on.Overall, while this book was still pretty fabulous, it almost felt to be missing something It could be that the first book was SO unique, that this book suffered from second book syndrome, but I am still going to move right into book 3, Lost, and see what happens

ok second book in the series.this is very different to the first You tend to forget that youre reading about Angels and the Winged and all that is supposed to be good.Theres a rebellion starting Some of the Winged dont think theyre being treated fairly, and the archangels are mearly brushing their feelings aside and ignoring them.not a wise move.A line is drawn and the fact is either youre with them, or your against them..there is no Switzerland that Joanne wants to be.As with the first ok second book in the series.this is very different to the first You tend to forget that youre reading about Angels and the Winged and all that is supposed to be good.Theres a rebellion starting Some of the Winged dont think theyre being treated fairly, and the archangels are mearly brushing their feelings aside and ignoring them.not a wise move.A line is drawn and the fact is either youre with them, or your against them..there is no Switzerland that Joanne wants to be.As with the first book there are training exercises based on real wars battles etc..except this one goes horribly wrong due to the rebellion..It starts to show a different side to the archangel and all that is meant to be good, supportive and kind up there. Not what i expected and i say it again, remember its fiction people are saying its far fetched, but when reading about werewolves, vamps they enjoy themso theyre NOT far fetched its just a very different angle and its an interesting read.Im already onto the third book LOST im not sure i this is the last one or not, but wow, this one takes yet another turnThe Joanne we first met.is not the same Joanne we see nowRead on behalf of Bewitching Tours for an honest review
