Just okay Emmett Stone finds an unconscious woman on the side of the road in a remote part of Colorado near the ranch he shares with his brothers, twins Cody and Bryant When the woman finally awakes she doesn t know who she is she can t remember anything With a major storm in the works, they are stuck in their cabin for a week without access to a phone The guys come from a polyamorous family and are looking for a woman they can all share They are also all Doms and even have a playroom in Just okay Emmett Stone finds an unconscious woman on the side of the road in a remote part of Colorado near the ranch he shares with his brothers, twins Cody and Bryant When the woman finally awakes she doesn t know who she is she can t remember anything With a major storm in the works, they are stuck in their cabin for a week without access to a phone The guys come from a polyamorous family and are looking for a woman they can all share They are also all Doms and even have a playroom in their little cabin Emmett is the oldest brother and voice of reason although they have all fallen in love with the woman they have named Amber after the color of her eyes , he says they can t play with her until they know her history After all, she might have a boyfriend or even be married with kids So one day when Cody and Emmett are out trying to find a way into town, Amber starts to kiss Bryant and one thing leads to another What really bugged me was that although Amber initiated things, she then kept telling Bryant they should wait but he wasn t listening Then Cody comes home and joins in the fun Everything shuts down when grouchy Emmett gets back, but then a few days later when the other brothers are out, Emmett takes her into their playroom None of the characters were very well developed and they all kept saying one thing and then doing something else Some excitement towards the end when they discover Amber s identity, and then manycharacters are introduced who presumably will be featured in upcoming books in the series

OK I enjoyed the idea of this series but it didn t quite get there in reality the brothers were interesting and could have been really captivating but to me they weren t developed enough Amber was just completely unrealistic as well as her storyline which in turn made her character predictable and the romance between her and the three brothers utterly unrealistic overall this book was a disappointment I m not sure if I will continue on with the series.

I really, really, really wanted to love this book The pretense was amazing 3 cowboys, Colorado, a damsel in distress, saviors, stuck in a cabin oh the endless potential that offered I was so excited to begin reading this, with books rolling around in my minds reference like Colter s Woman I cheerfully tore into this book Alas, my overly hyped ideas of finding warmth and a loving relationship were slowly killed by a culmination of things First, I am not a grammar nazi in the least Howeve I really, really, really wanted to love this book The pretense was amazing 3 cowboys, Colorado, a damsel in distress, saviors, stuck in a cabin oh the endless potential that offered I was so excited to begin reading this, with books rolling around in my minds reference like Colter s Woman I cheerfully tore into this book Alas, my overly hyped ideas of finding warmth and a loving relationship were slowly killed by a culmination of things First, I am not a grammar nazi in the least However, there are some basic misses of spelling and correct tense usage that gnawed at me The story jumps were extraordinarily jarring and so out of context I felt like I was jumping to a whole knew story at times I am not a person that needs every single line drawn out for me, but I couldn t follow the arc of the character who one moment was lying on the ground wounded, moving towards the light, and the next minute is awake, talking, and resuming his role as a dom Which leads me to my next catching point with this book I am by no means a prude who cannot fathom love outside of the typical vanilla portrait drilled into every person since they understood the concept of love I like love stories that go outside of the contextual norm and extend my ideas or understandings of how love can work When I reading about someone being dominate one of two things needs to transpire One, a strong relationship between the submissive and dominate needs to be established in intricate detail, so the nuance of being submissive is fulfilled in a beautifully soulful fashion The other option for me is to establish a sense of dominance slowly, beautifully, sensually allowing me to sink into the idea of submitting to a person who is going to fulfill the role in a manner that allows me to believe it Neither of those ideas transpired in this book The dom was rudimentary at best and barbaric at worst In this story, the heroine, Amber Kathy said cowboy far too often for me Considering there are three of them, it seemed like a slight that never, and I do mean never ever changed It wasn t a cutesy little term of endearment, but rather a quick burr that stuck in my ass throughout the story line When we get to the moments where there is supposed to be this spicy sexy, loving, intense exchange of emotions and physical combings, for lack of a better term and I got a 5th grader version of a sexual encounter I realize that I am in fact reading a form of porn, I really do I just prefer my porn to be amazingly sensual, detailed, and not in a here s what I am going to do to you fashion The first encounter really killed it for me I am sad to say that this is the first and the last book I will read by this author, as all of the promise was so unfilled, I don t care to see the author s growth, or in this case the potential lack thereof I really wish there was an editor that sat down and said, Okay, seriously what happened here, here, here, and here Let s try this instead Seems to me that this book was simply published and thrown to the masses thinking there are hungry females just waiting to devour anything within the realm of menage context with little contextual thought whatsoever I am left with a very sad emotional after taste left in my mouth after this one I couldn t stick it threw either I dumped the book down, if you can believe this almost all the way threw to the end It was the last group scene that I just finally said, F ing forget this and to the delete list it went

It was okay but I just couldn t help picturing Amber as a wide eyed simpleton and the men as caveman half wits Really, these people were just, well, stupid, really, there was no way around itI have lost my memory, but am wildly attracted to these three men They appear to also be attracted to me, so they are my now, and I shall act Okay, that part made sense, but when she had 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th thoughts, they trampled all over them did not like that part Then, they made her feel bad for It was okay but I just couldn t help picturing Amber as a wide eyed simpleton and the men as caveman half wits Really, these people were just, well, stupid, really, there was no way around itI have lost my memory, but am wildly attracted to these three men They appear to also be attracted to me, so they are my now, and I shall act Okay, that part made sense, but when she had 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th thoughts, they trampled all over them did not like that part Then, they made her feel bad for having giving into her desires because they felt bad huh Finally, they keep explained to her that they are Dom s and all the things she will have to do to be theirs Trouble is, even after they keep it casual, they continue these conversations And, the biggest proponent of keeping it casual, gives in after a simple picnic, bit again, makes her feel like crap when he is doneThe men didn t seem alpha at all, they seemed childish and petty Our heroine didn t seem strong and submissive, she seemed lacking any type of good judgment Now, that being said, you d think I didn t like it at all, but , the story moved along, and the scenes were smoking hotIt was an easy read, and was a deal when I bought it, so I finished it and likew the read, but won t be going back for any

It was just OK for me I m spreading my reading menage wings so to speak, but this one fell short for me While the Stone brothers are phenominal men individually, they lacked enough respect for each other and for Amber I understand the attraction, but if they re going to go all in they need to all be in agreement I think that a littletime on character development could have helped to be able to become engrossed in the read Amber seems to be muchreceptive than I would imagine a wo It was just OK for me I m spreading my reading menage wings so to speak, but this one fell short for me While the Stone brothers are phenominal men individually, they lacked enough respect for each other and for Amber I understand the attraction, but if they re going to go all in they need to all be in agreement I think that a littletime on character development could have helped to be able to become engrossed in the read Amber seems to be muchreceptive than I would imagine a women with no memory would be The plot was there, I just wasn r pulled in enouh to lose myself The twist towards the end was a bit over the top I m glad that others have enjoyed this, it jusy wasn t the book for me

Captured by CowboysThis book was so great I have a weakness for big strong men especially cowboys who respect women as they fall in love It starts with Amber not knowing who she is but sees the strong family bond with the 3 brothers and the respect they have for her as they dig to find out her past The Russian mob stands no chance against them Very good read
