Pretty simple book, nothing too remarkable, just a description of the activities of the season A rather soft and relaxing feel to the whole book The kids at storytime enjoyed pointing out the things they d done or were going to do, though, and it was fun asking them about some of the things that were very winter related, since we don t get snow here I liked the illustrations, very soft and warm.Though I might use it again in a holiday storytime, it wasn t one that left a really strong impress Pretty simple book, nothing too remarkable, just a description of the activities of the season A rather soft and relaxing feel to the whole book The kids at storytime enjoyed pointing out the things they d done or were going to do, though, and it was fun asking them about some of the things that were very winter related, since we don t get snow here I liked the illustrations, very soft and warm.Though I might use it again in a holiday storytime, it wasn t one that left a really strong impression More than OK, but nothing really memorable

Overall this book was good, with great illustrations The reason it gets a two star rating is because it mentions packages being delivered and hidden away This doesn t matter when I read it to my one year old, but if he was older it could cause him to question why packages are being hiddenwhy ruin Christmas for a child who believes

The text and beautiful illustrations describe the approach of Christmas with changing weather, decorations, and traditional celebrations No mention of the Christian celebration of Jesus birth Santa and opening gifts are the focal point to which all the anticipation leads.
