    I chose to put this book on my favorites shelf because it explains the anatomy of the body to young students This book is colorful, has great analogies of what the inside of the body is like and has brief descriptions as it points to body parts The body parts are of young children that may be of the same age as the reader This book is great for students in Primary grades, preferably 2nd grade It would be best used during a science period when teaching about the body structure, organs and mor I chose to put this book on my favorites shelf because it explains the anatomy of the body to young students This book is colorful, has great analogies of what the inside of the body is like and has brief descriptions as it points to body parts The body parts are of young children that may be of the same age as the reader This book is great for students in Primary grades, preferably 2nd grade It would be best used during a science period when teaching about the body structure, organs andGenre Non Fiction Health ScienceI would use this book during a science period in my classroom as a read aloud and for students to look at during free time This book could also be used in later grades when reading isfluent If so, I would like to have enough for the whole class to look at I would like for my students to read a little description and then pop corn around the room until we have finished a portion or all of the book During the read aloud I would ask questions that show comprehension and scientific thinking After reading either a portion or all of the book, I would have students trace a classmate on a large white paper and as a group color in the body parts and label them correctly
