    Absolutely Excellent This book has taken the horrific truths about domestic violence, and brought them out in a way that gives hope to the survivors Showed them that they are not alone, and that they can go on and be happy That they DESERVE to be happy

    This book appear to be a normal, light, romance novel, but it was so muchI learned a lot about shelters for victims of domestic violence and the psychological trauma they endure The book was abut a vicious reality that so many women live through, but it was also about hope, trust and perseverance and some romance.

    I have to admit I quite disliked this It was a really courageous and educational move on Quinn s part, but it felt to me like it basically had no traditional romance elements at all This is very strange considering the imprint is MB Essence Harlequin Superromance It waslike reading a suspense drama.I did quite like the development of both main characters, you can tell that Quinn put a lot of work into them I really didn t understand Merediths actions, which were nonsensical and apparen I have to admit I quite disliked this It was a really courageous and educational move on Quinn s part, but it felt to me like it basically had no traditional romance elements at all This is very strange considering the imprint is MB Essence Harlequin Superromance It waslike reading a suspense drama.I did quite like the development of both main characters, you can tell that Quinn put a lot of work into them I really didn t understand Merediths actions, which were nonsensical and apparently insane It wasn t until later I realised just how damaged she d been by her relationship with Steve I didn t believe in the nascent love triangle, it seemed quite artificial and forced imho, this should have been left out to concentrate on the main story.I understand that Quinn was broaching a taboo subject not usually covered in this genre, and I applaud her efforts However, seeing DV first hand, it was all a little bit too confronting and disturbing for me.While the ending was satisfactory, the entire story left a bad taste in my mind, which wasn t what I was hoping for
