This is a cute novella Clean, steam factor is mild, just some kissing and romantic declarations Since it s a novella, there isn t a whole lot of character development, but I did find myself liking the characters.

The Grandest Christmas is a cozy book, in which all of the characters are good people at heart, with warm family relationships one partial exception, but no real bad guys The hero and heroine are mostly up against their own insecurities about class and past romantic disappointments I appreciate that the author madethan the usual efforts to make this historically plausible, as I have read other Regency romances which convey stunning ignorance of Irish history and I am not a historian The Grandest Christmas is a cozy book, in which all of the characters are good people at heart, with warm family relationships one partial exception, but no real bad guys The hero and heroine are mostly up against their own insecurities about class and past romantic disappointments I appreciate that the author madethan the usual efforts to make this historically plausible, as I have read other Regency romances which convey stunning ignorance of Irish history and I am not a historian, or even a particularly picky layperson. It s a short novel longish novella, and possibly because of the length the ending feels a little rushed, but all in all it was quite enjoyable
