This story is one of the stories in the first volume of the Quinn Short Stories Volume 1 I got the volume from the author for an honest review, and read this story I enjoyed this story, just like I enjoy the rest of the stories in the Michael Quinn series The thing about this story, though, is that it s different than the usual stories in the series, but that s a good thing. In the usual stories in the series, Quinn is usually on some kind of mission and there s some action in the story While there was no action in this story, I did like that we got to read about him training for one of his missions. We got to see Quinn as a normal man He did some training for his job, interacted with people, had a hiccup with his airmask and the line, but managed to work it out, and then we also got to see him spending time with friends and just enjoying a night out.I like that we got to see Quinn struggle a bit It makes him seem less perfect, which is something I feel the series has needed Usually he plans the jobs, executes the jobs, and they go off without a hitch While that s great and all, sometimes I wish that things would get messed up or there would be some kind of an issue It makes things interesting. With all of that said, I liked this story and that we got to see Quinn enjoying himself amongst new friends and outside of a work setting Sure, he was training for his next mission, but he wasn t actually on a mission So, anyway I loved the story.
