A summer read for a summer day I wanted to read a warm, adorable fluffy romance with likable protagonists, good pacing and great setting, and that s precisely what I got here The two characters, Charlie and Kevin, have palpable chemistry and the humour is understated but there The plot, following wedding preparations at camp, is an excuse for cute geeky moments and very nice character exploration I liked how the camp brings back very different associations for the guys and how they work thro A summer read for a summer day I wanted to read a warm, adorable fluffy romance with likable protagonists, good pacing and great setting, and that s precisely what I got here The two characters, Charlie and Kevin, have palpable chemistry and the humour is understated but there The plot, following wedding preparations at camp, is an excuse for cute geeky moments and very nice character exploration I liked how the camp brings back very different associations for the guys and how they work through some of their issues but mostly just find a way to be together.I really liked how low key the drama was, and the epilogue was just perfect warm and comforting A strong 3.5 stars and an extra half star for the ending I know the author personally but the copy of the book, my review and opinion are all my own

Maybe not a stand aloneMost of the books in the Camp Firefly Falls series can be read as stand alones, but a lot of these characters are apparently imports from another series by this author, so it made for a slightly confusing story for me Even with the epilogue I thought the ending had an abrupt feel again, as though there was a larger story out there somewhere that I should have read I don t usually read M M stories, so I had a harder time identifying with either of the main characters, bu Maybe not a stand aloneMost of the books in the Camp Firefly Falls series can be read as stand alones, but a lot of these characters are apparently imports from another series by this author, so it made for a slightly confusing story for me Even with the epilogue I thought the ending had an abrupt feel again, as though there was a larger story out there somewhere that I should have read I don t usually read M M stories, so I had a harder time identifying with either of the main characters, but new, sweet love is still new, sweet love, and that s relatable to any romance reader

A lovely light book with very little angst Perfect for a weekend or beach read Charlie and Kevin meet and immediately connect I liked that both of these guys are so loyal to their friends They endure nosey friends as they spend time getting to know one another I liked that Kevin pursues Charlie when things go wrong, he doesn t let things fester but actually talks to Charlie until things are cleared up While this book is part of a series and would be enhanced by reading the previous books, A lovely light book with very little angst Perfect for a weekend or beach read Charlie and Kevin meet and immediately connect I liked that both of these guys are so loyal to their friends They endure nosey friends as they spend time getting to know one another I liked that Kevin pursues Charlie when things go wrong, he doesn t let things fester but actually talks to Charlie until things are cleared up While this book is part of a series and would be enhanced by reading the previous books, it can stand on its own
