I just had a lucky day, got an early draft of the book before it s published later this spring I have no secrets, just that the postal service is probably not that great at redirecting mail I read the book in record time And I would recommend anyone that wants to get serious about money to read this book like this take a blank sheet of paper and write everything you know about money and how you are planning or are dealing with it in your life Then read the book and adjust your thinking and I just had a lucky day, got an early draft of the book before it s published later this spring I have no secrets, just that the postal service is probably not that great at redirecting mail I read the book in record time And I would recommend anyone that wants to get serious about money to read this book like this take a blank sheet of paper and write everything you know about money and how you are planning or are dealing with it in your life Then read the book and adjust your thinking and facts as you go along This is a very general introduction, although updated to the latest regulations and tax rates floors and ceilings etc If you are looking to be less scared about money, then this is a good start If you have some idea about money management, and have gotten around to plan your resources, this may be a bit too basic The book is lacking the technology aspect Although Lisa gives some resources, and very good and trusted one, she fails to give us a head start with the huge variety of apps out there and the multitude of challenger banks that let you aggregate your spending in categories and see exactly where your money can be saved All in all is a good read for any beginner that has been putting off dealing with money

I found this really rather patronising but perhaps I m not the intended audience I didn t really need an explanation of what a mortgage is or what a pension is I have both and know.I was concerned that when talking about critical illness cover and income protection the mine field of getting cover that will actually pay out if you have a pre existing condition wasn t touched on.
